Maintain the standard

Brown eyes are deceivers,

on the outside they look brown,

but are different from the thought of the perceivers.

you see blue eyes have a thin layer of melanin,

which covers the inward,

this makes them less poppin,

because of that outer layer what we see is actually brown,

hiding the unmistakable beauty, that lies underground.

See this is just like the hurting soul,

while others tear at the still beating heart,

the person struggles to maintain control.

see Christians should be looking for that person,

trying to think of a way to help them,

instead of destroying them, like some soul arson.

which brings me to my next point of conflict.

the lifestyle that Christians are living is nothin more than a fun kick.

we act like coming before the throne for forgiveness is okay, with boldness,

and neglect to remember that our standard isn't virginity, it's Holiness.

Holy is the Lamb

Holy is the lamb who was slain, the one was and is to come.

Jesus took sin itself and killed it, saying it is done.

when my circumstances freak me out and thoughts my mind cannot conceive,

Jesus takes one look at it and says, hey, just breathe.

a great man of God once said, sit back and watch God create,

yet waiting is the only thing I seem to procrastinate.

God is Holy, God is perfection,

His love for mankind is found in salvation.

He gives us HIS ONLY SON,

so that when we walk up to the gates, we can say, the battle is won.

forget about your sex, lust and hatred,

keep your parties, your jacks and gettin wasted.

I'll take Jesus, and Jesus alone.

because when I look in his word, I know I have a heavenly home.

Jesus promised me this and I believe it,

not like beliebers who eventually say, eh. just forget it.

Wider than sins breadth.

Paul said he marveled that they were so soon removed,

they made decisions that end up being reproved.

He gave himself for us to pay a price we could not pay,

yet we can't seem to give him ten minutes of our twenty-four hour day.

our time is limited, so there's no time for procrastination,

that's the thing that needs to change in this nation.

we are moved by selfish pride, not giving God the cred,

yet we grow out of school to be a straight pot head.

We so often forget the price that has been paid,

yet these Christians just want nice houses and cars to show like a parade.

as a man that loves his truck this can be a challenge,

this lust of possessions can cause some serious spirit damage.

the choice is ours to make,

be a loyal servant, or a Christian that's fake.

the blood still washes away sins, no matter the depth,

just let Grace and Mercy abound, let them be wider than sins breadth.
