thought for food . . . or something like that.

Everybody wants to be the greatest at something,
yet nobody wants to be dedicated to that one thing.
Everybody wants to be a super star,
yet nobody wants to go outside of their comfort zone too far.
we want to be the best preacher, teacher or evangelist,
but we have this long list of prerequisites.
How about this, just some food for thought,
how 'bout you sell out to something like a car being bought.
one-hundred percent of your life, love and thought processes,
with every ounce of passion that your body possesses.
because life without dedication is not worth living,
like your marriage without the other person being forgiving.
You really think you are worth someone constantly serving you?
then tell me why is it that the Son of God had to come and die for you.
you see if I could be honest, I deserve the Hell that Jesus Suffered,
Yet He hung there on the cross saying, it's done, it's finished. No more to be buffered.
There is an interesting thing about that word Suffered.
something that wasn't clear from the boats bow,
yes it means to endure, but it also means to allow.
Jesus was willing to endure that pain from all angles,
yet He could have called ten-thousand Angels.
Now think about it, think really hard,
the one who died, is the one we bombard.
with antagonistic questions like how, why, when and why so far.
we should be saying, Lord use me in every way,
the problem is, we keep walking away.

God blessed me

Elijah Sargent
Outstanding Parents

From birth to present day, my parents have continually shown me the way of Christ, His love and grace while on earth. My father lead me to the Lord at five years of age and ever since he has disciple me in every way that he has been able to, and although we have not always met eye to eye, and fought a time or two, he always has been right there to pick me up and encourage me. My mother has been nothing but grace for the duration of my life, showing mercy when needed but also the loving truth. The two people that God blessed me with as parents are in fact the only two people on earth that I believe could have raised me with any semblance of character and dignity. They have warned me when there are dangers in my life, but paid for things that they knew wouldn't bring me happiness, and when those things broke, or hurt me, they would show me the love and peace that only comes from Jesus Christ. Just this last summer, my mother went to work out of the home, after homeschooling every one of the five children all the way through high school, and did so willingly. She does not like being out of the home and away from what she knows and loves, being a home keeper, but she went to work, so that I could serve at a camp for the whole summer. She knew that it would change my life is so many ways and she is willing to be uncomfortable so that I can have my life changed and still go to the school that both of my parents let me choose. Words could never describe how much I owe to my parents, for all that they have done in my life. They have always shown me what a godly parent should be, loving, caring, hard working, joyful and so much more. God truly blessed me beyond what I deserve with the amazing parents that I have. This is just my story, there are four more of their kids with very similar stories.

The statement, "we go back to our sinful nature! it's the way we were created!" could quite possibly be

the largest misconception in all of Christianity.

It is being proposed that we as Christians can cancel out God's mercy with our sin, and if that
were the case, we would be called Catholics. The whole idea behind Romans 8:38-39 is that no matter
what we cannot lose our salvation.

The second part of the problem is that those using the above statement, is that they are

accusing God almighty, The Holy God, Jehovah of creating sin. Beyond the obvious foolishness of this,

there are some doctrines that would go in the trash if this were true.

”Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil,
neither tempteth he any man."

God turned His back on His only son Jesus, because of the sin that was on Him during the crucifixion. If you think for one second that, that same God, CREATED the sin that he hates, you are just not an intelligent person. I'm sorry.

Please understand, I am not saying that Christians can't sin, I've disproved that, but I'm just asking that all would read the word, and believe what they read, NOT try to correct God, or mangle the truth so that it makes us look less guilty. Blaming God only makes us dumb. Let's all put on our big-kid-underwear and treat sin like sin, and confess and forsake it.

Chairs and Stairs.

Chairs and Stairs

The Bible says that trials are bound to come,
but to the truth so many are blind and dumb.
See trials and temptations are given to build us stronger,
but we have to chose God forever and even longer.
Because as is says in Philippians 1:6 that we are a work in progress,
not just a pawn filled with emptiness.
God's plan for us as His children is beyond anything we conceive,
If we would just surrender ourselves and believe.
So don't worry when you think you are getting crushed,
Because Jesus is holding your hand even through the spiritual flush.
Once upon a time Jesus too was tempted like we are,
yet from sin He resisted and back from stayed far.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians that no temptation will we ever face,
that we can't defeat while Jesus is in this place.
because God makes an escape with every trial,
because He loves you, stop living in denial.
when Jesus said it is finished, I don't doubt it,
Because Jesus destroyed sin and threw it in the fiery pit.
So when in your life, in the way you find Trials and Chairs,
remember that with Jesus, it's just a set of stairs.

Because, Love.

Love. It's a word thrown around by so many people,
and is rarely found under a church's steeple.
Because we are so busy telling them what's wrong with them,
we neglect to show them how much they mean to Him.
we as Christians are responsible for exhortation,
but all we ever bring is condemnation.
why don't we put down our stones and lift each other up,
and stop acting like judges that have gone corrupt.
so let's stop tearing down and start building back,
that spirit of love, which we desperately lack.
Because if Jesus walked into the back of the church today,
He wouldn't be glorified, He would be pushed out of the way.
We say we love Him and "oh Jesus you're great"
what we mean is, "Jesus keep your riches in mercy, I'll take the cut rate."
Jesus didn't come to condemn the world, He came to save it.
And if we actually acted like Him, we wouldn't want to just sit.
The church as a whole, it would seem has given up,
not caring about the world, and not sharing the grace cup.
so we sit around wallowing in self pity and contrition,
when we should be concerned with the great commission.
Stop being selfish with the Love of God,
and with the Gospel of Peace have our feet shod.

Thanks to His life.

Since the Garden of Eden, where Adam fell
our sin has destroyed our lives and sent us on our way to Hell.
See because the wages of sin is death,
but God's forgiveness can be easy, like taking a breath.
When the whole world around us yells, just go ahead and do it,
Jesus says calmly, sin is not something to play with, and one day, you'll rue it.
We search our whole lives for this deepness of love,
not knowing that such a simple thing came down from above.
and on my cross as Jesus died,
He gave up the ghost, that's why we all cry.
But it didn't stop there, He rose from the dead,
defeating all of sins reign and destroyed the head,
see it's not just a story or a biblical booth,
no not at all, this is actually truth.
so get off the couch and go win someone to Christ,
knowing that our payment has been paid in full, thanks to His life.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness.
Something we all indeed lack,
yet take advantage of God and fall back into our sinfulness.
see it's like we know that He's faithful and just,
so we continue to drink, fornicate and lust.
I mean this was me too,
faithful on Sunday, but just a sinner on the church pew.
let's stop trying to play a trick on the King of Glory,
and start acting like we are actually Holy.
But hold up, there's another part to this story,
forgiving others, like God forgave us wholly.
this bondage that suppresses our joy and happiness,
also known as a grudge, will wind up destroying our liveliness.
see the problem is this syndrome called a cold heart,
the cure is God's warm grace, forgive someone else and watch your hatred fall apart.
But wait, there's one last thing that most people miss,
forgiving ourselves, and turning our lives into righteousness.
A wise man once said, "when you look in the mirror, do you like what you see?"
doing what I usually do I went for the joke and said, "c'mon man, look at me!"
very calmly he asked it again,
I had to stop and think about it, knowing my life was full of gods that were pagan.
I knew God's forgiveness and forgave others,
but myself on the other hand, I just couldn't seem to find the grace covers.
but here's the best question to ask the heart of the unforgiving slave,
Who am I, to not forgive someone that God Almighty, already forgave?

Maintain the standard

Brown eyes are deceivers,

on the outside they look brown,

but are different from the thought of the perceivers.

you see blue eyes have a thin layer of melanin,

which covers the inward,

this makes them less poppin,

because of that outer layer what we see is actually brown,

hiding the unmistakable beauty, that lies underground.

See this is just like the hurting soul,

while others tear at the still beating heart,

the person struggles to maintain control.

see Christians should be looking for that person,

trying to think of a way to help them,

instead of destroying them, like some soul arson.

which brings me to my next point of conflict.

the lifestyle that Christians are living is nothin more than a fun kick.

we act like coming before the throne for forgiveness is okay, with boldness,

and neglect to remember that our standard isn't virginity, it's Holiness.

Holy is the Lamb

Holy is the lamb who was slain, the one was and is to come.

Jesus took sin itself and killed it, saying it is done.

when my circumstances freak me out and thoughts my mind cannot conceive,

Jesus takes one look at it and says, hey, just breathe.

a great man of God once said, sit back and watch God create,

yet waiting is the only thing I seem to procrastinate.

God is Holy, God is perfection,

His love for mankind is found in salvation.

He gives us HIS ONLY SON,

so that when we walk up to the gates, we can say, the battle is won.

forget about your sex, lust and hatred,

keep your parties, your jacks and gettin wasted.

I'll take Jesus, and Jesus alone.

because when I look in his word, I know I have a heavenly home.

Jesus promised me this and I believe it,

not like beliebers who eventually say, eh. just forget it.

Wider than sins breadth.

Paul said he marveled that they were so soon removed,

they made decisions that end up being reproved.

He gave himself for us to pay a price we could not pay,

yet we can't seem to give him ten minutes of our twenty-four hour day.

our time is limited, so there's no time for procrastination,

that's the thing that needs to change in this nation.

we are moved by selfish pride, not giving God the cred,

yet we grow out of school to be a straight pot head.

We so often forget the price that has been paid,

yet these Christians just want nice houses and cars to show like a parade.

as a man that loves his truck this can be a challenge,

this lust of possessions can cause some serious spirit damage.

the choice is ours to make,

be a loyal servant, or a Christian that's fake.

the blood still washes away sins, no matter the depth,

just let Grace and Mercy abound, let them be wider than sins breadth.
