Chairs and Stairs

The Bible says that trials are bound to come,

but to the truth so many are blind and dumb.

See trials and temptations are given to build us stronger,

but we have to chose God forever and even longer.

Because as is says in Philippians 1:6 that we are a work in progress,

not just a pawn filled with emptiness.

God's plan for us as His children is beyond anything we conceive,

If we would just surrender ourselves and believe.

So don't worry when you think you are getting crushed,

Because Jesus is holding your hand even through the spiritual flush.

Once upon a time Jesus too was tempted like we are,

yet from sin He resisted and back from stayed far.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians that no temptation will we ever face,

that we can't defeat while Jesus is in this place.

because God makes an escape with every trial,

because He loves you, stop living in denial.

when Jesus said it is finished, I don't doubt it,

Because Jesus destroyed sin and threw it in the fiery pit.

So when in your life, in the way you find Trials and Chairs,

remember that with Jesus, it's just a set of stairs.

Because, Love.

Love. It's a word thrown around by so many people,

and is rarely found under a church's steeple.

Because we are so busy telling them what's wrong with them,

we neglect to show them how much they mean to Him.

we as Christians are responsible for exhortation,

but all we ever bring is condemnation.

why don't we put down our stones and lift each other up,

and stop acting like judges that have gone corrupt.

so let's stop tearing down and start building back,

that spirit of love, which we desperately lack.

Because if Jesus walked into the back of the church today,

He wouldn't be glorified, He would be pushed out of the way.

We say we love Him and "oh Jesus you're great"

what we mean is, "Jesus keep your riches in mercy, I'll take the cut rate."

Jesus didn't come to condemn the world, He came to save it.

And if we actually acted like Him, we wouldn't want to just sit.

The church as a whole, it would seem has given up,

not caring about the world, and not sharing the grace cup.

so we sit around wallowing in self pity and contrition,

when we should be concerned with the great commission.

Stop being selfish with the Love of God,

and with the Gospel of Peace have our feet shod.

Thanks to His life.

Since the Garden of Eden, where Adam fell

our sin has destroyed our lives and sent us on our way to Hell.

See because the wages of sin is death,

but God's forgiveness can be easy, like taking a breath.

When the whole world around us yells, just go ahead and do it,

Jesus says calmly, sin is not something to play with, and one day, you'll rue it.

We search our whole lives for this deepness of love,

not knowing that such a simple thing came down from above.

and on my cross as Jesus died,

He gave up the ghost, that's why we all cry.

But it didn't stop there, He rose from the dead,

defeating all of sins reign and destroyed the head,

see it's not just a story or a biblical booth,

no not at all, this is actually truth.

so get off the couch and go win someone to Christ,

knowing that our payment has been paid in full, thanks to His life.
