Forgiveness

Forgiveness.
Something we all indeed lack,
yet take advantage of God and fall back into our sinfulness.
see it's like we know that He's faithful and just,
so we continue to drink, fornicate and lust.
I mean this was me too,
faithful on Sunday, but just a sinner on the church pew.
let's stop trying to play a trick on the King of Glory,
and start acting like we are actually Holy.
But hold up, there's another part to this story,
forgiving others, like God forgave us wholly.
this bondage that suppresses our joy and happiness,
also known as a grudge, will wind up destroying our liveliness.
see the problem is this syndrome called a cold heart,
the cure is God's warm grace, forgive someone else and watch your hatred fall apart.
But wait, there's one last thing that most people miss,
forgiving ourselves, and turning our lives into righteousness.
A wise man once said, "when you look in the mirror, do you like what you see?"
doing what I usually do I went for the joke and said, "c'mon man, look at me!"
very calmly he asked it again,
I had to stop and think about it, knowing my life was full of gods that were pagan.
I knew God's forgiveness and forgave others,
but myself on the other hand, I just couldn't seem to find the grace covers.
but here's the best question to ask the heart of the unforgiving slave,
Who am I, to not forgive someone that God Almighty, already forgave?
